Week 10: The Real Debate: the Cookie or the Cream?

MARCH 5: Fun Facts About Your Name Day
Here's a fun fact about my name: I was named after the Barry Manilow song "Mandy". I also found out that my name means: worthy of being loved. I asked my friends if they had any fun facts about their names and I listened to the song I was named after.

MARCH 6: Oreo Day
On National Oreo Day I decided to go all out and buy every flavor of Oreo. There was salted caramel, double stuf, mega stuff, peep (Easter special), golden, lemon, red velvet, mint, cinnamon bun, oreo thins, birthday cake, coconut cream, chocolate, and original. Okay, I admit it, there was one flavor I didn't buy: reduced fat, but come on, if you're eating Oreos just admit to the fact that you're not caring about the fat in your food. So, fat contents aside, my favorite flavor of Oreo is mint. I went over to my friends' apartment and let Parker choose out some flavors of Oreos for their apartment and then I took the rest to Bachelor night at Niki's (the finale was terrible, that's all I'll say about that). After I got home I brought the rest of the Oreos back over to my friends' apartment (believe me, there was a ton left) as I was all Oreo'd out. I did take mint back to my apartment though. Now only one question remains: are you a cookie or a cream person? I, personally, say cookie all the way!

MARCH 7: Cereal Day
On cereal day I went to the store with Duffy and bought muffins. I know, I'm joking, I bought cereal. I got Frosted Mini Wheats (my favorite) and Cocoa Puffs. Then I went home and ate cereal, because what else do you do on National Cereal Day?

MARCH 8: International Women's Day
For International Women's Day I decided to donate money to a women's shelter. I found out it's really easy to do! A quick google search of "Womens' Shelter near me" brought me to the website for The Center for Women and Children in Crisis in Orem. On their website you can donate right there online. Here's the link if anyone is interested in donating:

MARCH 9: Meatball Day
I got asked to go on a date to Ikea to celebrate Meatball Day, which I thought was a totally awesome idea! Here's my Ikea dinner:

MARCH 10: Mario Day
March 10 is Mario Day because, as Brey pointed out, MAR10 looks like Mario! For Mario Day Craig and Brennan came over in the morning and I made us omelettes and we played Mario Kart Double Dash on my Gamecube.

MARCH 11: Daylight Savings Observance Day
Well, though I was not very happy about losing an hour of sleep I observed Daylight Savings by changing my clock. Not that I had much of a choice.

My favorite holiday this week was Oreo Day. It's fun to go all out for something every once in a while. Mario was pretty great too. Starting a Saturday off with breakfast and Mario Kart was a perfect way to begin my day! We've got another real holiday coming up this next week. You better find something green, because Saturday, March 17th is St. Patrick's Day!
