Week 18: May the Fourth Be With You

APRIL 30: Oatmeal Cookie Day
For Oatmeal Cookie Day I brought Oatmeal Cookies from Provo Bakery to work for all my Coworkers. They were pretty delicious!

MAY 1: Chocolate Parfait Day
Chocolate Parfait Day was also one of my coworker's birthdays, and since I try to always bring a birthday cake to work on everyone's birthday I combined these two things and brought a giant chocolate parfait to work. The candles sunk into the Parfait after we lit them, so I wouldn't recommend this route in the future, but it worked out.

MAY 2: The Great American Grump Out Day
I found this holiday hilarious. The Great American Grump Out is about fighting grumpiness with positive attitudes. My coworker Jeremy took this holiday in a stride and was making us all laugh with his overly eccentric positiveness.

MAY 3: National Public Radio Day
I did the interesting and [somewhat] boring thing today and listened to NPR as I drove my car today.

MAY 4: Star Wars Day
Oh Star Wars Day, what more can I say? I mean do I look happy or what? Remember the Star Wars skirt I described back on white shirt day? This is it:

My friends and I have been thinking about this holiday since the beginning of the holiday thing. We're all pretty big Star Wars fans. My coworker Claire was nice enough to switch shifts with me so that I was only working the morning instead of doubling like I was scheduled.

I got up, chose out some Star Wars socks (I narrowed it down to two, then couldn't decide so I went with one of each), and got dressed for work.

For breakfast I cooked some Eggo Star Wars pancakes in my Darth Vader toaster:

After breakfast, I put on my awesome Star Wars bow and headed to work.

To work I brought Star Wars stickers and my coworkers and I stuck them all over ourselves. I also stuck a sticker on every receipt I gave to my customers! I think the festivities might've even helped my tips!

After work I changed into my Star Wars skirt and my favorite Star Wars shirt. My bishop came around to all the apartments handing out Lightsabers (Pretzel sticks with green colored white chocolate) which I thought was pretty awesome! My friends and I put on Star Wars fake tattoos. I, being kind of impulsive, put one on my face:

I had some trouble getting it off for work the next morning and since it's C3-P0 saying "We're doomed" that popped in my head repeatedly as a scrubbed my face for an hour. It eventually did come off though.

We also went to a Star Wars party some guys in our ward threw and came back to 304 and ate Galactic Crunch, Yoda Soda, and Star Wars Popsicles.

All in all, one of the greatest days in the galaxy! May the Fourth Be With You!

MAY 5: Cinco de Mayo
I was working a double on Cinco de Mayo, so my options for celebrating were limited, but I ate a quesadilla for lunch on my break between shifts.

MAY 6: Lemonade Day
For National Lemonade Day I drank a Mango Pomegranate Lemonade

Well, no question about it, my favorite holiday this week was definitely Star Wars Day. And to whoever is reading this blog: Join me and together we can celebrate the holidays! May has got a lot of fun stuff coming up!
