Week 23: Say Cheese!

JUNE 4: Cheese Day
For National Cheese Day I did something absolutely ridiculous: I ordered a single custom burger from the Trolley and I had them put all four kinds of cheese we have for my four toppings (Cheddar, Jack, Pepper Jack, Gorgonzola). Then, for my side I got mac and cheese and I had Nick, the chef, put half of it on my burger. It was totally fattening, totally greasy, and totally delicious. I'm not sure I'd do that again though, I didn't want burgers for at least a week after that! Here's my glorious creation:

But just wait, cheese day isn't over yet. For dinner my family and I got grilled ham and cheese sandwiches from Jake's Brookside. I could only eat half of mine before I tapped out. I'd had enough cheese for the day, but I sure celebrated the holiday.

JUNE 5: Veggie Burger Day
As much as I didn't want a burger again after the day before, a veggie burger is at least the opposite of my mega cheeseburger. I got another single custom burger at work, but this time I made my toppings mixed greens, tomato, sauteed mushrooms, and red onions. I then subbed the meat for a veggie patty (the Trolley has really good ones) and had them put balsamic glaze on it. It was a pretty good veggie burger!

JUNE 6: Drive-In Movie Day
Okay, super fun holiday today! One of my favorites so far! When I saw it was Drive-In Movie Day I knew this was one I really wanted to do. Getting out and doing fun things I don't usually do is what this is all about! I found out that there is a drive-in theatre up in West Jordan. I loaded my car up with snacks and Brey, Kayla, Jared, Parker, Kam, and I all went. It was so much fun! It worked pretty well in my convertible as well!

It also happened to be National Tailor's Day so here's a picture of my friend Parker in the suit coat I made for him in my Tailoring class last semester:

I'm pretty proud of it!

JUNE 7: Chocolate Ice Cream Day
I've never been a big fan of chocolate ice cream. I doesn't really taste like chocolate. For Chocolate Ice Cream Day I got one of the few chocolate ice creams that I do like: Ben & Jerry's Half Baked. It's chocolate and vanilla ice cream swirled with brownie bites and cookie dough. It's a very good guilty pleasure.

JUNE 8: Jelly Filled Donut Day
I had honestly never had a jelly filled donut until this day. It's never seemed appealing to me. My mom and I went to the Provo Bakery (Daylight Donuts was again sold out) and got jelly filled donuts, her a blueberry, me a raspberry. Guess what: like chocolate ice cream, not a fan. I like jelly and I like donuts, but not together apparently. Here's me taking my first bite of my first, and probably last, jelly filled donut:

JUNE 9: Rosé Day
My favorite perfume is Juicy Rosé and so I wore that today! Hey that rhymed!

JUNE 10: Ballpoint Pen Day
For Ballpoint Pen Day I drew a maze during church using a ballpoint pen.

My favorite holiday this week was definitely Drive-In Movie Day. It was so much fun. I definitely am down to go again and it made me realize that there's so many fun things to do around me if I just take a second to look.
